Hello Everyone my name is Jennifer I'm so excited to hear about Anna's website. Anna sent me a private message one day and the conversation grew from there. I am the youngest sibling in my family and my brother was in a serious automobile accident which left him paralyzed from the waist down. David severed his C6 spinal chord. I watched him endure months of hospitalization, PT among other adjustments when he was released from Lucerne Medical Center. I helped him do things around the house, quickly became his shadow emptying urinals, pushing him up our driveway ( which was not easy it was down in a hole) and other chores around the house. In a high school I met a girl who became a good friend of mine who had Spina Bifida and we had lots of fun in school chorus together. One day we went to a club and I said "let's go dance" she looked at me and said "I can't dance I'm crippled". I said you CAN Dance and I picked her up and carried her to the dance floor she started crying. It was a great day :)

Well that's a little bit of my history and why I took a huge interest in the Spina Bifida website and although I have never actually met Anna I feel like I already know her she has the strength to perservere through all the struggles that life brings and keep going just like my brother and friend.
