Maliya

My name is Maliya Grace Johnson . Everyone who knows me calls me Grace . At school they call me Maliya . I was born with Myelomeningocele Spina Bifida. I am paralyzed from the waist down . When I was about to turn 12 years old , I came to the United States from China .

Myself and 17 of my siblings live at home. Most of my siblings have disabilities. Due to my childhood and the obstacles I face with being in a wheelchair, I have become more independent.

I am involved with a organization called “ The Field Of Angels “. I am there secretary. This program allows children and adults to come and play baseball together in the summer .
